The White Rabbit theme and its companion plugin, Rabbit Hole, are designed to work seamlessly with minimal requirements. As long as you have the following in place, you're all set!

  1. SSL Certificate

Due to the advanced technologies used by Rabbit, all operations are securely conducted over the HTTPS protocol. This makes an SSL certificate a necessity. Fortunately, SSL certificates don’t have to be costly—services like provide them for free!

  2. PHP 8.0+

Rabbit is optimized for PHP 8.0 and above, leveraging cutting-edge methods that may not function as smoothly on PHP 7. To ensure the best performance and compatibility, it’s recommended to use the latest PHP version.

  3. PHP cURL Extension

The PHP cURL extension is commonly included with most shared hosting environments. However, we mention it here as a reminder because cURL is also essential for WordPress core functionality. is a library that allows your site to communicate with other servers, enabling features like API requests.

  4. WordPress 6.5+

Rabbit is built with modern technology, which means staying up-to-date with the latest WordPress versions is crucial. Make sure you’re running WordPress 6.5 or higher to fully harness the power of White Rabbit and Rabbit Hole.
