Rabbit requires certain essential settings to function properly. These are mandatory adjustments to ensure a flawless Rabbit and social media experience. They are clearly outlined below.

  • Navigate to Settings > General.

  • Membership (A): This setting must be enabled to allow users to register on your site. If this option is not checked, the registration page will remain hidden, preventing new users from signing up.

  • Timezone (B): Ensure that the timezone is set correctly. An accurate timezone setting is crucial for proper scheduling and time-based functionalities across your site.

  • Navigate to Settings > Discussion

  • Other Comment Settings (A): We recommend setting the comment depth to 2. While Rabbit supports deeper comment threads, each additional level of child comments adds margin from the left, which can eventually make the content difficult to read. Setting the depth to 2 strikes a balance, keeping discussions manageable and readable.

  • Avatar Display (B): Uncheck it. WordPress's default avatar system uses Gravatar, which may conflict with our custom avatar system. You can still use Gravatars, and Rabbit will render them, but users will not be able to update their profile pictures through our system. To avoid conflicts and ensure a seamless experience, consider using Rabbit's avatar system exclusively.
